I got this recipe from a friend about 5 years ago and over the years have tweaked it. I finally have come up with the final version. It is a must try recipe. It seems very hard but I swear it's quite easy to prepare. Your kids will even like it! Enjoy!! It is not a weight watchers meal so if you are dieting hold off for a cheat day to eat this!
Ravioli with Sausage and Cream Sauce
1 lb Italian sausage (taken out of casings)
1/2 cup Butter2 cloves chopped or grated garlic
1 medium Chopped onion
1/2 tsp Oregano
1 tsp Basil
1/2 tsp Tarragon
1/4 cup Parsley
2 cups Sliced mushrooms
1 Bag of Cheese Ravioli
1 cup Heavy creamParmesan cheese to taste
1 TBSP Flour (at very end) Pepper to taste
Preparation:-In a skillet, sauté the sausage until cooked.-In a separate pan, melt the butter. -Add and sauté the garlic, onion, oregano, basil, tarragon, parsley and mushrooms.-Add the sausage and heavy cream, heat through. Sprinkle 1 TBSP of Flour and stir until thickened a bit. You can leave the sauce watery if you would like. -Toss in the Ravioli.-Add Parmesan and pepper. Mix Well.-Makes 4-6 servings
