Okay so here we are. It's almost the end of October. The weather has been great. It was such a warm day Sunday the kids wore shorts to 6 Flags. Well today we wake up and it's in the low 40's. Right away I pull out the tights, turtle necks and winter coats. My poor kids were bundled up so warm for school that Emily was actually hot. She also had her school sweat shirt on as well for an extra layer. What am I going to do to these poor kids when it is in the 20's? Snow pants for the ride to school? I guess I have to learn the art of dressing for winter.
Lindsey's Birthday is right around the corner. It's hard to believe she will be 10! I cannot handle this. I remember her 1st Birthday. We are going to Keylime Cove water park and Hotel for her birthday. I told her she can invite 2 friends to spend the night in the hotel. Chris and Emily will come too but leave after dinner and head home then I am going to stay the night at the hotel with Lindsey and her 2 friends.
The final decision on my mother's present was nothing like I wanted but it was something sentimental that she can keep forever. I bought her a music box that plays "Unchained Melody" that is her favorite song. I know it's a bit lame and not a cruise but this time of year and with working I could not get away to go on a trip to Florida or a cruise. My sister and I wanted to go on a girls cruise but my father talked us out of it.
I better get going for now. I have housework to do and groceries to buy. Then tonight we have soccer practice. It should be nice and warm on Lake Michigan with the temperature in the 30's at 5:30 PM. Can't wait!! NOT!
