The Upcoming Birthday Girl with her Grandchildren
My mother is the type of person who looks forward to special birthdays and anniversary's. For her 50th my husband and I bought her a tanzinite bracelet. (We were not rolling in the cash so the gift set us back a small fortune) She didn't even like the bracelet. I think she might have worn it once. For my parents 40th Wedding anniversary we gave them money towards a flat screen TV. (I don't think she was happy with that!)
Why do we feel like we have to go crazy for a parents birthday present? My mother is turning 60 next month and my sister and I are racking our brains trying to come up with something special. Can we think of anything? We thought of a cruise but neither one of us has the time nor money. Plus my mother is the type of person who either has it, or has the money to go buy it. We love out mother don't get me wrong but this birthday present thing is really taking a toll on our brains!
If you have any suggestions please I beg you help!

Why don't you & your sister fly down & just have a girls weekend! Is there a special something that she really likes but doesn't buy for herself? Why don't you scrapbook 60 yrs of her life? I did this for my FIL and it was really good! The kids and grandkids got there own special page and even got to write a ltrs to Grandpa. Just a thought - NLP
Just think about what you would want from your girls when they got older. Because I've known for a million years, I think you would want them with you and that it wouldn't matter what you did. What about a formal picture of you and Amy together? Just the two of you. Maybe in Black and White, something like that. Love you tia!!

okay Dawn...it's Rhonda....what about a tree in honor of your family and Amy's and from the grandchildren? This would be way cool and something that would be in the family for a long time! A trip is something you can do anytime....cruise...been there and done it....pictues...nice, but cliche'....something so different and for somebody who has everything....a tree...or....how about a star registered in her name from all of you....cost is about $50.....get online and investigate.....pretty cool! love ya....oh, and by the way, you look awesome!
