Today we started our drive from Atlanta to Great Lakes. The car was loaded, good byes were said and all I had to do was back out of my sisters driveway and start my 6 hour car ride. Well I go to start the car and... a dead battery! Go figure! Again if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck. We made it to Paducah, KY in about 5 hours. Very pretty car ride if I may add. We arrived at our hotel in plenty of time to have some fun in the pool. Luckily the hour time change gave us more time. Now it's 9PM. My body thinks it's 10. The girls are both crashed. With the time change and 90 minutes in the pool they were pretty beat! This hotel is known as the cookie hotel. They give fresh baked cookies and milk out from 8-9 in the lobby. If anyone is passing through the Paduccah area I definitly reccommend the Holiday Inn Express. They take pets as well as give cookie and breakfast in the morning.
Time to end, tomorrow is another day in the car but I get to see my house! I'm hoping a window or door is un locked so I can peek inside and not have to wait till Thursday. I'm impatient!

Wow, that sounds familiar. Last Christmas Deb left to drive to CT and the car wouldn't start.
Thought it was too cold so I jumped her and off she went. Turned out to be a dead battery. While she started driving, I found a sears auto center on her route, called her with directions and she pulled in just as they were opening.
Poor dog almost died barking the whole time, since they couldn't get her out at a mall.
Hope the rest of the trip goes better.
